CVUEM (Computer Vision for Underwater Monitoring) a Technical Committee affiliated with IAPR (International Association for Pattern Recognition) and focuses on the development of computer vision and image processing techniques for applications in environmental underwater monitoring. Environmental monitoring encompasses a wide range of activities and tasks, such as:
habitat mapping
species identification
estimation of species diversity and abundance
analysis of animal behaviour
CVUEM has organized the Computer Vision for Analysis of Underwater Imagery (CVAUI) IAPR workshop series (2014-2022).
Our most recent workshop (the Joint Workshop on Marine Vision) was organized at ICCV 2025 as a joint collaboration between the two workshop series: the 6th Workshop on Computer Vision for Analysis of Underwater Imagery (CVAUI) and the 3rd Automated Analysis of Marine Visual Data for Environmental Monitoring (AAMVEM).
Join us for the 2nd Workshop on Marine Vision at ECCV 2026 in Malmö, Sweden
We encourage all interested people to join and participate to our Linkedin Group!
